Race 5 – 6:00PM Stow Storage Solutions Handicap (1000m)
Small field. Scratchings have knocked it around a bit.
We backed #3 YES WE ARE first-up at Sale off a hot trial and he didn’t disappoint, breaking the 1000m track record in a comfortable win. He rises slightly in grade but stays on 60kg. From the inside draw he can kick up and settle handy to the likely leader, #5 CROATIAN ART. Provided the inside section of the track isn’t a disadvantage, he’ll be awfully hard to beat.
The jury is still out on #8 ANGEL LADDER. She won a strong race at Geelong second-up during winter, but that was over 1150m. Not convinced 1000m is her absolute sweet spot, though the claim gets her down to 54kg and her jump-outs have been solid.

#3 YES WE ARE looks over the odds at $2.15 in the small field. Can see him being heavily backed again and starting in the red.
