Maiden with five debutants taking on four with race experience.
We were quite keen on this race, but unfortunately a couple of scratchings have reduced the value. (13) Above Me was marked a short favourite and taking up a big chunk of the market percentage, which looked wrong – two wet track runs and then plugging away on the synthetic last time. But enough about a horse that isn’t running.
There’s still some value here in (3) SETA MURO. This son of Lord of the Sky debuts off two nice trials. Showed brilliant gate speed in his latest jump-out, leading before only being run down late by the smart Mckeyla. Importantly, he was kicking back on the line – a really nice piece of work. He looks a winning chance and is still value at $6 and $2 the place.
(12) PRIDE OF MANDY has also trialled up nicely. The stable often leaves improvement in them first-up, but she looks a nice horse with some versatility.
(10) MONGOLIAN MASTER made ground in his latest trial. He’s too short in betting for mine, but still a chance.

Back (3) SETA MURO win and place (1×3).
Could save on (12) PRIDE OF MANDY.
