Race by race overview
Race 6
(8) Barari was an impressive winner at Pakenham in her last start and remains at the 1200m trip which appears to be her ideal distance. Wet track conditions will suit her chances and while she is drawn out wide, there appears to be plenty of speed which should see her find cover just behind that and set up to hit the line strongly again. (11) Bella Pietra is a lightly race filly resuming, she maps for a positive run from a low barrier and went the to paddock off the back of a highly rated win, if she can resume with any improvement she looks a chance. (4) Jamesjohno resumes, he hasn’t previously won 1st up and may be better over more ground but maps softly here and with the right run may give a sight. (5) Zoulette comes into this today off the back of a good 1st up win. She is well in at the weights and jumps from a low barrier, with the right run she can handle the rise in grade for this
Selections:
(8) Barari
(11) Bella Pietra
(4) Jamesjohno
(5) Zoulette
Suggested Bet: (8) Barari – Win
Race 7
(8) Pacific Glamour resumes here today, she was a winner 1st up at this track last prep before going on to compete in some stronger races. This is well down in grade from those runs and she appears in good order after 2 strong trials. (5) Our Wynd Chymes was a good winner on debut who looks to step up in grade now, looks to get a positive race map and should be out in front controlling the tempo. (9) Done Leavy is a last start winner at this track/distance set up, this is a rise in grade today but conditions are similar which suit her. (2) Bear Champ was a big winner in his last start, he maps well from a low barrier and if he handles the conditions could prove a handful in this grade.
Selections:
(8) Pacific Glamour
(5) Our Wynd Chymes
(9) Done Leavy
(2) Bear Champ
Suggested Bet: (8) Pacific Glamour – Win
