Betsy’s Queensland guru has cast his eyes over the rest of Australia’s racing and found a few he likes:
Randwick Race 1 #5 SAMARELLE $5.50
This is a very even race and expecting an average or just below average tempo set. Really going on potential with this Savabeel filly. Only runs have been Newcastle and Kembla but I have liked what we witnessed. Best L600-400-200m in both the runs. Has had nearly 50 days between runs but did trial with blinkers on and went well without being pushed out. From gate 1 I think she can land midfield and then it’s just a case of getting some luck and split at the right time because I’m sure she’s the right horse.
Randwick Race 6 #15 GENEROSITY $3.20
This just looks a good thing with even luck. The gate is the only query but J McDonald should take care of that. Dead set barrier trial the fresh run when had nowhere to go the entire straight. Last start went toe to toe with a couple of the best sprinters in the land and not far off them. Recent trial was great under no pressure and just looks the winner to me.
