The Betsy Power Rankings are in! The ranking looks back at performance of the last 90 days, considering a range of factors to help identify the most ‘in-form’ hoops across the country.
Strike rate is important, but the power rankings consider a range of other factors to come up with a ranking you can trust ahead of your weekend on the punt.
Betsy’s Jockey Power Rankings – National Top 20
The Betsy Power Rankings combine a range of factors into one simple index for jockeys.
The leader is benchmarked at 100, with all others rated relative to that standard. (Minimum 20 rides, jumps jockeys excluded.)

Index highlights riders who deliver wins, consistency and profitability, with prizemoney recognised in the score (not displayed).
Not surprisingly, James McDonald is the benchmark hoop, with his prizemoney and significant wins boosting him up the table. That said, he isn’t exceeding market expectations with a negative ROI through the period. Celine Gaudray has continued her good form, both in Vic and over the border in South Australis while Clint Johnson-Porter is an ongoing force in Western Australia.
