(5) High On Sugar has mixed form this prep but was an impressive winner two starts back at Gawler. Like how he sets up for this race today with a slight rise in distance and from a race map perspective as the race lacks speed so he should be in a prominent position in run with positive jockey Jake Toeroek in the saddle.
(2) Cork Harbour looks the likely leader of the race which could prove an advantage at this track. Impressed in a last start win and can take the step up in level off that.
(8) All Shot takes a step up in level for this after a close 2nd last start at Gawler, he looks suited rising in distance today.
(1) Captain Joolian rates highly dropping in grade and gets in well at the weights after a weight claim, stable is in form and he is fit so can figure.

Looks a very open race over the staying trip.
(4) Smother has been consistent this prep and hit the line strongly last start over the 2000m, looks suited to a rise in distance here.
(5) Classy Claret is in form having won two of his last three starts, looks a chance to push forwards from the wide barrier and race in a prominent position.
(2) Coorong Tycoon drops in grade having contested the strong Strathalbyn Cup in his last start, he can bounce back to better form down in an easier grade.
(1) Back Me Up Benny is a last start winner who did defeat runners he meets again here today, can win again with the right run.

Hard to look past (6) Bassett Babe who was impressive when winning on debut. She sets up well here with a light weight on her back and with a favourable race map, expect she is hard to beat again but very short in the market to be a betting proposition.
(3) Mostly For Show looks the main danger having been competitive in stronger races recently, he rates highly but his main query is a negative race map which may prove tough on this track.
(2) Bootlegger is also down in grade from recent runs and sets up well from the inside barrier.
(4) Regal Ripper can race up on speed with the favourite and be in a strong position in run, he is fit and can be around the mark for a long way.

Keen watch on the debutant (2) Ramasis who has been jumping out well in the lead up to this debut, he looks advantaged jumping from barrier 1 and can settle in a good position, looks to get a favourable set up here fresh.
(7) Bardigrub has run into the placings in her last two starts and has good early speed so looks likely to be suited at this track, but she may need luck from the wide barrier.
(3) Rathlin Express has been close in his last two starts but settling for 2nd, he looks close to a breakthrough win with the right luck from a sticky draw.
(12) Sicilian Princess continues to be well supported when she goes around and has been consistent with no wins yet, running 2nd in her last 3 starts, capable of a win at some stage.

Race 5
(4) Tough Talk resumed at Strathalbyn with an impressive win and looks to rise in level for this now, but with any improvement fitter 2nd up now and rising in trip, he should prove hard to beat again from a good race map set up.
(1) Autumn Frost ran a close 2nd at Gawler last start; he gets a much better race map for this race today from a lower barrier so expecting he could be stronger late here.
(2) Big Brute is a last start winner rising in grade, he pushed forwards last start and if he can do that here he could be suited with how this track is expected to play.
(3) Grinzinger Pod comes across from Victoria and perhaps finds an easier race than what she has faced so far this prep, may be best suited slightly down in level today.

Race 6
(3) Nextonixs resumes today off some handy trials and is a runner who generally performs well when 1st up (3:2-1-0). She can fire fresh and in a race that looks to have plenty of speed, she should find herself in a good position just off that speed and every chance to run on late.
(1) Been Our Angel likes to go quickly out in front so should be leading and may be better suited coming back to the 1000m trip, gets an ideal run from barrier 2.
(5) Gold Spirit was close in the finish last start in what was a strong form race, he may find this slightly easier than last time which could set him up well 2nd up.
(2) Mintulee gets in light at the weights vs key rivals, got caught out wide last start which made her run tough and that may be the risk today again, but if she finds cover quickly she should be there late.

Looks a very open race with a tough race map for a few key chances.
(15) Gatsby Crown showed good speed when winning his maiden at Mount Gambier, takes a step up in grade today but gets the right set up from a race map perspective and staying at the short sprint trip suits.
(6) Babayka gets a soft map from barrier 1 and will be suited dropping in grade having run well in a high rated race last start, gets a better set up here today.
(13) Path To Profit makes her debut for a new stable here having contested stronger races in Victoria. She may be the class runner of this field but must overcome a wide barrier and may be better suited over more ground.
(17) Eclair Vitality needs an even track as he gets back in runs but can hit the line strongly and is at peak fitness now 3rd up.

Plenty of speed in this race.
Hard to jump off (11) Brown Nose Day Gal who has been tough to win two in a row now, she looks suited up in distance and can push forwards and be prominent.
(8) See Ya Later Baby has speed and is in good form, needs some luck from the wide barrier but his best form recently is suited in this grade.
(4) Andrew’s Memory has been consistent recently and gets a race map advantage on rivals here jumping from barrier 2. He could settle in a handy position and get a soft run which will help him see out a rise in distance.
(16) Rob The Bank has the potential to lead this race and if the track is favouring speed, he could pinch this at a big price if given a soft run out in front.

(3) Streetcar Apollo was an impressive winner at his home track last start, he has a slight rise in trip here today which will suit given his record at the 1400m and he can put a good speed into the race, but the wide barrier is a small knock on him as he needs luck early.
(10) Betwitchery rates highly crossing the border from Victoria. She was a last start winner at this distance and showed speed in that win which will suit here if she can replicate.
(1) Vexatious Dancer maps well from barrier 1, he takes a quick jump up in distance so is suited with the soft run from a low barrier and is suited down in grade.
(7) Burning Bright ran well 1st up but expect he can find a level of improvement 2nd up now and rising in distance.
