As far as racing stories go, this is about as good as it gets.
Trainer Kevin Daffy is a rarity in a racing industry made up of super stables.
Daffy only has one horse, Oh Too Good.
On Caulfield Guineas Day, he won the Group 3 Vase.
One horse, one big win.
“She really deserved it,” an emotional Daffy said post race.
“I’m so proud of her. So much goes into it, it’s a really hard industry as we all know. I’ve come to it fairly late and dedicated my whole life to this horse and every minute of every day is thought about this horse.”
“If I’m not with her, I’m watching her and looking after her and making sure she’s happy so she can come out and do her best and you saw the best today.”
Oh Too Good is the only horse Kevin Daffy has in work and she’s now a Stakes winner!

Star jockey Damian Lane was all praise for Daffy and his one man show.
“Kev, his family, his friends that are in the horse, he does a great job with her,” Lane said.
“She’s his only horse obviously, you and I both know how hard it is to come across good horses and to come across one with your only one in work is what dreams are made of. He does such a good job to keep her going so well and winning a race on Caulfield Guineas Day.”
Despite the nice prize money and clear indication Daffy can train, he’s not looking to add to his stable.
“I can’t handle any more than one – I’m at the limit. She deserves it. She just tries so hard this horse and never puts in a bad run,” he said.
“I’m just over the moon, she’s so deserving of this, I’m so proud of her. We saw what she can do and Damian Lane – what a champion.”
