Morphettville 7/2 Horses To Follow
Race 6 (1000m BM72) Nextonixs
Nextonixs was resuming from a spell. Generally a strong 1st up performer and she did finish 3rd in this race but found herself back further in the run than she had settled in previously 1st up runs. Having landed in this position in run, once in the straight she appeared to be held up slightly when trying to make a run down the rails, with a clear run she perhaps may not win the race but at least finishes closer. She ran one of the fastest last 600m sectionals of the entire meeting so will be better for this run fitter now 2nd up.
Race 7 (1000m Restricted 62) Eclair Vitality
Eclair Vitality has run a solid 3rd here in a race that conditions for him didn’t really suit on the day. It was a meeting that was dominated by runners settling in the front half of the field and from a wider barrier Eclair Vitality has had no choice but to settle near last in the run. The race was won by the on-speed pair, but it was clearly Eclair Vitality who was doing the best work late in the run putting a 2L gap on the runner in 4th. Eclair Vitality looks ready to rise in distance next at this point of his prep and will be better suited on an even track.

Jump Out #2 – Never Ordinary
An unraced 2YO filly for Byron Cozamanis, jumped out from the barriers perfectly to find the lead in this jump out and looked a level above when extending in the straight to win by a near 7L margin. She has now won 3 trials in a row and 2 of those this month, expect she looks close to making her debut and should prove competitive in this seasons 2YO crop.
Jump Out #4 – Gin Explosion
We have seen Gin Explosion once at the races previously where she made a solid effort to run 2nd in a maiden that has proven to rate quite well and after that she was sent straight out to the paddock. She jumped out cleanly in this heat, found the front and extended nicely in the straight to look untroubled by rivals, the extra time she has had to develop looks to have bought her on nicely.
Jump Out #14 – Beachbarbeckons
Beachbarbeckons returned to the trials having disappointed in his last start at the races. He looked to have got back to his better form in this jump out having went to the line with the more seasoned Jack The Lad as the pair put a big gap on the rest of the field. Beachbarbeckons looks likely to race Wednesday and off the back of this piece of work should prove hard to beat.
