Dean Watling’s best bet at Kensington: Race 8 No.2 Off The Press
Very keen to round out the program with Off The Press, Todd Smart has this gelding in career best form. He was gritty last time out and looks better suited again here with no real pressure up on speed. Me Me will look to hold leaders’ backs here third up peaking fitness-wise, talented mare who deserves her crack at metro grade now. Starboard has been given back-to-back strong hit outs at the trials, key booking of Tim Clark and shouldn’t have fitness issues over 1250m. The well-backed Kyeema is next best.
Mitch Lewis’ best bet at Cranbourne: Race 4 No.8 Pacific Glamour
Pacific Glamour was a super will in wet conditions 1st up at Ballarat to break her maiden. She ran some of the fastest closing sectionals of the entire meeting and won in strong fashion. She will need to be as good here to be winning again while rising in grade, but she maps well from the inside in a race that should be run quickly so expect here to be around the mark
