The Gold Coast track was excellent over the Magic Millions. We get to race on it again Friday night for the Silks Under The Stars race night.
Weather has been pretty good and expecting another very fair track.
A couple of bets on what is a good card of racing under lights.
Race 6 #1 Golden Boom $4
Has to carry the 60kg but he’s got class. The wide gate is not a concern as he should end up outside leader. Just felt Maloney got the ride a bit wrong and went a bit early last start. Still there until the last 50m that night and was brave although beaten. This is no harder and well placed by Gollan.
Race 8 #17 Brutal Lass $19/$4.80 e/w
Was a winner to kick the prep off and then not much has gone right since. Two back she was held up and was changing lanes the whole straight but was 2nd best L200m there. Held up again last start but one of the best late again. I just think if they can land midfield and get to the outside with clear air, she might sprint a lot better than people expect.
