- Apprentice Tala Hutchinson has five rides and is building a strong association with this track. From 33 rides she has eight winners at a 24.2% strike rate and a POT of +64.9%.
Race by race overview
Race 1:
Leaning the way of race experience and siding with (9) Sicilian Princess here. She was well supported twice last prep but finished 2nd in both runs, previous to that the stable thought enough of her to enter a black type race, she maps well and won a recent trial softly. Experience looks her advantage.
(5) Bassett Babe was an impressive trial winner at this track earlier this month, can see why a lot will side with her but she has a lot of gear on for a runner on debut who may be tricky pre-race, certainly talented from what we have seen but I am keen to just watch on debut to see how she handles race day.
(6) Dazelles ran a close 2nd to Sicilian Princess in a recent trial, which suggests she may have found improvement from her debut effort.
(2) Ringside Reward needs to sharply improve here to be a winning chance but he showed speed on debut and if he goes forward on this track today that could be an advantage.

Race 2:
(11) Sahha Sweetie makes her debut and has impressed at trial level recently, expect she can put in a strong effort 1st up.
(9) Minato resumes here today off a very long spell, but she contested some stronger races in her debut campaign and recent trials suggest she is in good order. Barrier 1 should see her land in a good position in run and she wouldn’t surprise off the huge spell. .
(6) Invincible Alice resumes for her 2nd campaign, the Maidens she contested last prep appear stronger than this today, but she needs luck from the wide barrier.
(7) Lady Kalila has taken time to make her debut, but won a recent trial at this track and draws well in a low barrier, she could put in a strong effort 1st up

Race 3:
(4) The Highlander had to dig deep and fight to win in his last start. He was strongly supported that day and ran accordingly. With confidence now he could certainly go on with it again and maps well from barrier 2.
(1) Hamner Springs ran a close 2nd in his last start and was up in grade previously to that run. He gets in lighter at the weights today after an apprentice claim and should be in a prominent position in run.
(5) Bocheeva has been tough for punters to catch but maps as the likely leader here, and if the track is playing as expected and he gets a soft run, he could take catching.
We haven’t seen a lot of (8) Impending Fury at this stage but suggest that he has the scope to improve now getting over a staying distance.

Race 4:
(13) Torrita was well supported in a stronger Maiden last start but had very little luck in what could be a complete forgive run. Her form previous to that looks very good with two close 2nds, the last of which was at this track, gets every chance again.
(14) Orlova was well in the market last week, she settled more forward than what we had seen before but she faded out to finish 3rd, should be around the mark again with a light weight.
(5) Cornerback showed improvement in his last start and will be suited rising in distance for this.

Race 5:
(3) Rokabye Warrior looks the likely leader of the race and gets a soft run from barrier 3. He has a solid record at this track and goes well at this distance (3:1-2-0). Could be well set up to find winning form.
(5) Tofino hit the line strongly last start to win and will appreciate a small rise in distance today. His last start win has produced subsequent winners so that form reads well here.
(2) Wild Willy showed signs of improvement last start and suggest the rise in trip will suit. Has been a long time since his best form but gets conditions to suit here.
(1) Eaglelou rates highly for this race dropping in grade. He is yet to find his best form this prep and may need luck from the back of the field but can figure down in grade.

Race 6:
(1) All Shot looks well set up to find his best form here, he is now at peak fitness 3rd up into the prep and drops back down in grade from previous runs. He maps to race just off what could be a hot speed and the blinkers going on looks a good sign of intent.
Expecting to see improvement from (10) Sundogg down in grade here today, he has finished near the back of the field in recent runs but gets back down in grade to a level that we saw him win at last time he contested.
(2) Never Surrender resumes down in grade from the level she finished last campaign at. She has won here before and is suited at this level but needs luck from a wide barrier.
(7) Smashing Action kicked off this campaign up in grade and is suited back down at this level, he ran well last week but feel he is better suited at this track today and can go close again.

Race 7:
(9) Brimarvi Rosemarie was a winner 2 starts back in a strong Maiden before backing that up with another solid performance in what may be a stronger race than this. The rise in distance should suit given how she hit the line last time.
(2) Gin Rummy drops in grade from his 1st up performance and appears better suited here, he has a good record 2nd up having yet to miss the placings at this point of a prep so expecting improvement today.
(11) Chillcuz looks suited dropping down in grade here into an easier race, he can jump forwards and take up the lead which should suit but needs to be quick early to get out from the wide barrier.
