Race 2: (MDN/1400m)
Tempo: Average
(5) VICTOR TANGO started in the market on debut at Ruakaka albeit a late drifter off two impressive trials. He proved a difficult ride for Lynsey Satherley rolling around in the straight and under pressure to find, he was narrowly defeated by Autumn Glory, a now G2 winner and G1 placed behind Ohope Wins. Significant rider change with Warren Kennedy aboard for a hot stable and clear horse to beat.
Suggested Bet: VICTOR TANGO (Best)
Race 5: (R65/2000m)
Tempo: Above Average
Big field and plenty of speed should ensure this 2000m contest is run at pace. (6) PERSPECTIVE is a two-time course winner and can reel off good closing splits when allowed to balance up and finish off. A last start winner at the lower level, he was able to sprint best in the small field off a moderate tempo. Better suited in this stronger race on preferred footing and is rated a Top 3 chance in this field.
Suggested Bet: PERSPECTIVE (Value)
Race 7: (R75/1200m)
Tempo: Above Average
(8) HAVE A CRACK is a talented former Aussie, freshened after a slow beginning and poor effort at Te Rapa. Returned to the trials at Tauranga and looked in good order winning his heat in fast time, his two peak performances in NZ have come on-speed and maps to have a tactical advantage over key rivals if ridden with intent.
Suggested Bet: HAVE A CRACK
Race 9: (R65/1400m)
Tempo: Average
The very promising (2) SARTI is placed to win again. Reeled off impressive closing splits from the back on a Good 3 surface at Tauranga and had the race shape against at Te Rapa when game in the chase to the line behind a progressive winner. The wide draw is a concern, however, if he can produce a similar performance to his two previous runs he can overcome the gate and modest opposition.
Suggested Bet: SARTI
